What artistic duo's work has been famously set near Claremore, Oklahoma, while another piece was filmed in Boothbay Harbor, Maine?
The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma! is set in and around Claremore, Oklahoma, based on a play by Lynn Riggs, who grew up on a nearby farm. Location filming for the 1956 movie of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel, including the 'June Is Bustin' Out All Over' number, was done in Boothbay Harbor.
