Garry Trudeau, the creator of a famous political comic strip, has a connection to both New Haven and Saranac Lake. Trudeau attended Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. He also grew up in Saranac Lake, New York, and creates artwork for its Winter Carnival buttons featuring characters from his comic strip.
