What group of settlers, seeking compensation for lost property, established communities in both Prince Edward County, Ontario and Front of Yonge?
After the American Revolution, the Crown granted land in Ontario to United Empire Loyalists who had lost property in the Thirteen Colonies, including early settlers of Prince Edward County. Front of Yonge was founded by Nathaniel Mallory, a United Empire Loyalist who arrived at Mallorytown Landing in 1784.
