The Union of Lublin in 1569 marked a significant shift for both Pryluky and Obolon, Kyiv. After this agreement, Pryluky fell under the dominion of the Polish nobility, leading many inhabitants to seek refuge. Obolon, Kyiv, on the other hand, became part of the Kyiv Voivodeship within the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.
