Laconia sits at the center of New Hampshire's Lakes Region, and Lake Winnipesaukee is one of four large bodies of water inside the city's limits. Meredith's main village lies between Meredith Bay, an arm of Lake Winnipesaukee, and the smaller Lake Waukewan.
