The joint Nordic bid for UEFA Euro 2008 planned to use Oslo's Ullevaal Stadion as one of its venues, along with Trondheim's Lerkendal Stadion. In Tampere, the Ratina Stadium was also on the same list, along with stadiums in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm, and Gothenburg.
