In August 2023, news reports said some of this Motörhead singer's ashes had been scattered into the mud at Germany's Wacken Open Air metal festival in Schleswig-Holstein. Ian Fraser 'Lemmy' Kilmister started the band Motorhead in 1975 after he was kicked out of Hawkwind. His memorial was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills in January 2016, and in August 2023 some of his ashes were scattered into the mud at the Wacken Open Air festival in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
