The Love Parade started in Berlin in 1989 with just 150 people. It grew into one of Europe's biggest yearly electronic music parties, drawing over a million people to a 2008 Olympic Edition in Rotterdam and back-to-back events in Caracas in 2007 and 2008, before ending after a tragic crowd crush at the 2010 event in Duisburg killed 21 people.
