This Italian Renaissance painter's 1523 painting called 'Mystical Marriage of St Catherine of Alexandria' hangs in a famous museum called the Prado. His 1548 portrait of a monk from Vicenza hangs there too, and another one of his paintings is nearby at the Thyssen-Bornemisza. In which European capital are all these paintings?
Lorenzo Lotto lived from about 1480 to 1556. He worked mostly in northern Italy but died in the town of Loreto. His 1523 'Mystical Marriage of St Catherine of Alexandria' and other works ended up at the Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, because the Spanish royal family bought lots of Italian art in the 1500s and 1600s.
